  Patrick Hagan
Vice President , Implementation & Client Services - CEBA(R)

 

Mr. Hagan joined CEBA in 1994 as Claims Manager and managed the Claims and Customer Service Division.  In 2001, Mr. Hagan became the Director of Implementation and Account Services for The Boon Insurance Agency, Inc.  In this role, Mr. Hagan oversaw all aspects of implementation and enrollment of new business, and managed the Client Services division.  

In the spring of 2005, Mr. Hagan accepted the position of Director of Administration for Contractor's Employee Benefits Administration, Inc. (CEBA®).  In this role, Mr. Hagan maintains oversight of the Account Services Division, as well as manages the Policy Administration Division and the Special Markets Division which provide various administrative services for multiple fully insured products and plans, self insured plans and “administrative services only” arrangements.  Mr. Hagan's responsibilities and duties include coordinating efforts between marketing and insurance carriers in the design and implementation of new health insurance products; preparation and/or review and revisions of documents and printed material related to products and plans; examining and approving or declining new case submissions; interfacing with insurance carriers' administration and compliance units to ensure compliance and quality standards; coordinating efforts between marketing and administration to ensure each group is serviced properly; working with marketing to analyze, design and implement specialized administrative services; and, consulting with programmers in the design, implementation and ongoing use of automated systems.  As Director of Administration, Mr. Hagan also manages the CEBA® Customer Service Division, which provides customer service to the majority of CEBA's customers by responding to inquiries regarding individual claims, eligibility, and questions about the policy or plan in which a participant is enrolled.  

Prior to joining The Boon Group, Mr. Hagan was employed with Hillhouse Associates (a former division of New York Life) for six years.  He worked as a claims examiner for their hourly and salaried products, and for the last two years at Hillhouse Associates Mr. Hagan was the examiner and account manager for their self-insured accounts.  Mr. Hagan has a degree in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University.
